BOLAND FARM MUSEUM - WORCESTER

After researching old farm buildings in the distrct, a farmyard was invented with replica buildings, each expressing its own purpose, to give a history of farm buildings and their use in the Western Cape. The landscape plants were related to the activities and use of each adjacent building eg plants used for making soap, grew next to the soap-house. Though the most buildings were copies of existing old buildings, modern buildings supplemented these so that the museum as a whole could tell the storey of museum activities over the last century.
